mortgage redemption figures

I recently remortgaged with the Chelsea. My previous monthy payments were £469 and paid on the 28th of the month. They sent me a letter on the 13th October to stating my redemption figure and advising that everything has bene completed and my next payment would be on the 28th November.

Today I receive a letter from their arrears dept. stating that I am £469 in arrears as I never paid Octobers. I advised that this should have been included in the redemption, upto, and including, the 13th October. They say no! They say I am not able to go a month without paying anything.

It just seems strange to me that I should have to pay the my previous products monthly payment after I have remortgaged ( my next payment is £399 ).

Does this sound normal? I said, if anything, I should pay the amount of my previous product upto the 13th and from there on, the apr of my next product.
