We moved our morgage to Britannia in July and now they are requesting money for legal fees and disbursements that they had not collected on completion in July 04. Where do I stand with this ? Do I have to pay as it is their clerical mistake and not mine ? Any help gratefully received !
Nice to save.

if the claim is accurate then you have to pay. Thats how the court would decide if it went there.0

tell them your not happy and try and compromise chances are they will take it all in one go anyway.. i would let them know that as soon as you can you will be changing your morgage as you cant rely on themThose we love don't go away,They walk beside us every day,Unseen, unheard, but always near,
Still loved, still missed and very dear
Our thoughts are ever with you,Though you have passed away. And those who loved you dearly,

Can you explain why it's Britannia chasing these (delayed) fees? It would normally be the solicitor, not the lender, as they are the ones charging these fees.0

This happened to my friend with abbey. I can't remember how she got round it in the end but she did not pay the fees. I will try to remember to ask her tomorrow.0

I have noticed several lenders (B&W for example) who now charge Legal Fees if you use your own Solicitors.
Lenders seem to be finding extra ways of grabbing cash from you. I noticed the difference to five years ago. Arrangement fees have risen, along with the survey/valuation fees, redemption fees and deeds release fees all seem to have doubled, or am I just dreaming?0
