Trouble is , The car I purchased in April was a lemon and I have spent an absolute mint on it , almost every month it needs something or other fixed !

Parts , mechanic bills , tyres , not to mention the ever increasing cost of diesel have meant that my expenses this year look set to be around HALF of my total yearly income !!!

    Thanks again

Welcome to the hard world of taxi-driving then, those repair bill do mount up very easy on cars that have passed say the 100,000 miles on their odometer.

I had that same problem with running up large repair bills for a few years. In the end I saved up enough to go to a main dealer and ask them to look out for a really good 3 year old car with guaranteed low mileage, good equipment specs and perfect mechanics/bodywork.

They got me a 3 year old car with 19,000 miles for £7,000 (new price £26,600). It was a good investment and provided a few years without anything other than wear or tear part replacements like tyres, wipers, filters etc.

    ****** 36, you got a POB yet? *****
