Droitwich Knee Clinic are offering a pair of FREE Pedometers for every unwanted brace, crutches, or walking sticks you may have. You must go into the clinic, based in Droitwich, Worcestershire WR9 8YX with your unwanted item to receive your freebies. More information on their website.

If you own any unwanted braces, crutches or walking sticks, we will be delighted to pass them onto Smile International, a charity passionate about helping to relieve suffering and poverty through the distribution of humanitarian aid and long term development projects.

The Droitwich Knee Clinic will be giving away a pair of FREE pedometers for every walking stick, brace or pair of crutches that we receive, that's one for yourself and one for a friend!

The unwanted items will go to countries in the Balkans such as Kosovo, Albania, and Montenegro. Smile International also work in Uganda, Zimbabwe, the Gambia and Sri Lanka where such items would be very welcome. They also send aid to Haiti.

In all these places medical help has to be paid for; there is no state funded health service. No money, no treatment. Smile International do not give the doctors the equipment as in most cases they will charge patients for them so instead they work through their own contacts and other aid agencies, ensuring patients receive the aid they so desperately need.
