in Cutting tax
Hi all, before I start I know nothing about tax. Any way I've just just found out that I've been paying far too much tax for the last few years, I have a company car and every month pay a set amount that allows me to do around 200 miles, but I'm paying the tax that I have free fuel off my company, which I don't as paying for it. After talking to my payroll department they have my down for a different option saying that the money I pay every month is just for the upkeep of the car. Now I've had a car for over 8 years, but according to the tax office I only started paying the higher tax a few years ago, so for some reason my car option changed.Any ideas if I'll be able to claim this money back off the tax man or not. I just seem to be being passed from person to person. Thanks for any help in advance!
