A good thing to remember with VAT is that the lowest price where you SHOULD find an extra £1 added is £47 which now becomes £48.
I have to say, much as I despise paying the extra 2.5 percentage points of VAT, I have not had to use a calculator to work out our invoices since it has come in!What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0
