Mine arrived today - very quick delivery. I sprayed the surface with olive oil, then preheated 1 minute and cooked a chicken breast for 3 minutes to take for work lunch tomorrow. It looks cooked, but has not browned at all so looks very plasticky. I guess practice will make perfect. I will probably preheat for longer next time to achieve the browning as it doesn't look very appetizing as it is.
  • Tried grill for the second time. Took ages to brown sausages and the lid broke (bit of hinge snapped off). Glad I paid so little. It's already consigned to bottom drawer - next stop, bin!

oh at least it was cheap i havnt even used mine yet!!!
  • It sounds like even £2.20 is too much if you use it once or twice and then lid breaks. I am all for a bargain but there is cheap and there is cheap rubbish

Totally agree. I am glad I didn't waste my money.

I can't say I'd recommend it to anyone. I tried a small sirloin steak in it - preheated 2 minutes (the max) and it overcooked the meat, yet was still not browned. I will probably abandon this 'grill' before much longer.

I think you should e-mail them and tell them it is not fit for purpose and you want your money back.

    back in stock
  • I use mine regularly now for toasted sarnies and seems good for this purpose ... Haven't tried any meat in in yet!

Am happy overall as it cost so little , even though it comes apart so easily it works ok for my pancetta & parmigiano reggiano toasties ... I know , posh filling for a cheap grill! lol
