Erm... the question is incomplete.... it starts with an Is but doesnt state what you are supposed to confirm or deny it is.

I read that as giving an example the fact you are understanding and sensitive to the underlying culture ...... etc

To use me as an example. I work for a small charity funded in part by the council and by grant bodies and by christian organisations. We work with low income homeless.

So I would, if it were an application for my job, give an example of where I had worked within the culture and politics of a small voluntary organisation (board of trustees, volunteers, small staff team etc) working in partnership with a local authority (I think you know about them lol) and faith groups. While working within equal opportunities, anti discrimation legislation. Plus service user groups - low income homeless - treating with dignity and empathy etc and the general public (who often have a strange impression of my clients but I phrase that better). Power relationships within my org would be the trustees who 'govern' the org versus the funders (what do the LA, trusts, faith groups expect) plus staff on the ground and service user groups etc. Also there is national politics/govnt legislation which affects the work we do.

Hope this is in time and of some help in adapting to your own experience/job you are applying for. Sorry it was a few quick thoughts and rather jumbled.

    Good luck :)
I live in my own little world. But it's okay. They know me here.
