help needed - cleaning toothpaste off the bathroom sink the OS way

Options
i am now at the stage in my money saving journey where i have run out of ready made spray cleaners for the kitchen and bathroom. the only problem is i have no idea how to clean the bathroom sink without it. we all splatter toothpaste everywhere daily and when i wipe the sink it seems to go away but later on its reappeared like magic although no one's used the sink. this must be something unique to toothpaste but how do i shift it without strong chemicals?

I use a kitchen sponge with a green prickly surface.
I have also found the cheap (£1 in Tesco) exfoliating gloves ideal for wiping out the bath, shower tray, taps and sinks... without using anything but water.

I use these as well, as long as they have got a surface. Not those crappy green washing up sponges though. The sort I have in mind will be about £1.00 each but one lasts for months.

    I use an old toothbrush.

The exfoliating wash gloves work too as described in post #2.. Boots have them in for about £1 too

The wash glove is a brilliant idea. Trouble is I really really hate having wet hands.

    Weighs up - *wet hands/clean bath* :D

I wet it with hot water while I'm cleaning something else and this softens it enough to wipe it away and it seems to keep away - but then I have a very white sink - so perhaps it is there after all (I may even have to go and have a look later!) Doesn't toothpaste have a chalky substance for the abrasive effect - if so it's probably this - a bit like when you've had plastering down and it doesn't matter how much you clean, as soon as the surface is dry it's back! If all else fails - how about swapping to a gel or foam type toothpaste?

Wear a rubber glove inside it?
    Put the kettle on. ;)
