Newbie, will need support.

I've looked on MSE for deals for years, but now i'm looking to settle down and buy a house. All the things I thought I was too cool for.

I need to know all the processes, needed and will keep looking in, for tips and hints.

First question. how much money in hand do we need to buy a house for about £120K, so we know what we need to save.

Cheers

    Minimum 10%

    25% means far better rates

  • As much as you can...

10% minimum. 15% for better deals. 25%+ for best deals.

Then fees/costs on top. Allow £2k-£3k.

    Say £20k.

Not looked at mortgage deals for a few weeks, but most where a minimum of 10% deposit

Then you will need money for solictors, possible removal men,
    Mortgage Aug 12 £165K, Aug 19 £0
    ISA challenge start 2019 £3000/£1500 (50%)
