Got my life back

Twenty minutes ago I paid my final outstanding debt in full. I've managed it a month earlier than I thought I'd be able to and February will be a struggle but I think it'll be worth it just to know I owe £00.00 to anyone.
It the first time in 21 years that I haven't got loans or credit cards to think about having to pay and it means I can start getting some money behind me to do all the stuff me and my fantastic other half want to do. He's been soooooo patient with me putting his life on hold while I got sorted and I can't wait for the rest of our lives to start.
Thanks to everyone on here who's given advice or just made me feel better about my situation compared to theirs, this site is a life saver and I'll still be on here because the hard part of keeping debt free starts today.
January 27th 2011 day 1 and counting........:j

Thanks for your good wishes.
This board proves that no matter how deep in the brown stuff you get there is always a way out of it. I can't say its been easy but the feeling I got this morning was worth all the struggle.
I cant wait for next pay day and its not for the usual reason of paying off another chunk of money on what seemed like a never nightmare its just the fact that next month I can transfer it all into a savings account for once. Look at me getting all sensible with money :rotfl:2013 - Finally got the house we' ve worked so hard to get......now it's a life of diy and no money....couldn't be happier 😊

Well done!!
You're right, this site really is a life saver. It has helped me with a home for my savings (when I had some) and useful advice when a builder took it all. Without this site I would be in a much worse position than I am right now (Thanks Martin).
I expect you will now be found looking at the excellent savings forums and advice areas in this site. Well done a good luck for the future.0
