Hi
I've had to complete a self assesment tax forms for the past 6 years but have not received one this year.
Is this normal?
I dont work or claim any benefits, I always wondered why I had to complete these forms.
Any advice appreciated.
Thanks

So , for 6 years you have received a notice to file a self assesment - which you then did - and you have never thought to ask HMRC why they ask you to ?
If you dont work and you dont claim benefits , what source of income do you have ? Do you own any property or have any other sources of income ?The loopy one has gone :j0 -
Have a read through this link http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/sa/need-tax-return.htm
See if you can work out why you have been asked to file for the last 6 years . It may then become apparent why you have not been asked to file this year (maybe a cahnge of circumstances etc)The loopy one has gone :j0
