Appeal for help on behalf of my 19 year old daughter!
She is going to a Disney themed fancy dress party, and is looking for ideas. Constraints as follows :
1. She is a student, and so no money to hire or buy anything expensive.
2. Doesn't want anything "too OTT" as wants to look vaguely attractive to the males there!
3. From a practical point of view, she is 5 ft 11
Help!!

i think there all really nice but depends on what she is looking for,she either wears something shortish or goes for something full lengh which wouldn't be over flattering for a young girl.ebay has lots of stuff0 -
How about princess Jasmine, I'm sure that someone could help her put this together or is it too OTTNothing Changes if Nothing Changes0

Jessica Rabbit just needs a posh frock, killer heels and a mega red pout.
Tinkerbell needs a torn short dress some childs wings and a wand.
Or Boo from monsters inc looks cute and is simple to copyPucker up and kiss it Whoville! - The Grinch:kiss:0 -
Thanks Sethgran - I had already suggected that, but she "doesn't want to look like a slapper" (her words, not mine!"
Shegrinch, see comments above as also applying to Jessica Rabbit! Boo might be an idea though0 -

What about Jesse from Toy story? You can get cow print fleece from Home Bargains and places like that really cheap which she could sew for going over her trousers. White shirt, cowboy hat and neck scarf should be easy enough to find.0

I did Lilo from lilo and stitch a few years ago, just a grass skirt, beach shorts, boob tube and a lae or two
If any littlies have a teddy of stitch she can borrow it sets it off
Another friend was mrs incredible with a pair of black leggins, red long sleve top and a eye mask, the incredibles "i" was made out of paper and stick onto her top and a little black belt.

Cruella, black dress with black and white accesories.
Alice in wonderland would also be easy to put together
Mary Poppins .. http://www.coolest-homemade-costumes.com/mary-poppins-costume.html scarf, hat, white top long skirt and a coat, plus umberella and bag Practically perfect!Nothing Changes if Nothing Changes0 -
I had all of the same problems!! I don't trust short fancy dress costumes because Im also 5 11 and worry that they will be too short e.g. the ebay ones I would be weary of.
I ended up going to Matalan and getting a yellow skirt to which I wore with a blue silky t shirt that had a peter pan collar and buttons. I was a very simple Snow White with a red ribbon in my hair.
My other friend made a red polka dot skirt and wore it with a black t shirt and made her own mouse ears - Minnie Mouse
Tinkerbelle's outfit was acquired from Primark and altered with scissors
My friend who dressed as Alice altered her mums old 80s bridesmaids dress ha.
I would get altering clothes and searching charity shops and Primark, if other friends do the same it makes it more fun, we all wore hand made costumes which was nice0
