Hi guys,

At the point of sounding immature, here's my story: met this woman 14 years ago with kid of 5 in tow, got married got a 2up/2down, I did all the building work (painting, CHeating, garden) and 9-5 work, accounting for 75% of household income. New kid happened.
Sold the 2u/2d, got another, bigger, house (6 bed). Seven years down the line her/old kid (19y now) studies on south coast for the last 1.5 years, mother pulling money from our bank account (w/o my knowledge). Our 11 year old happy and doing well at school. Again over the last 5 years in this new house every 2 months in summer I've worked on house in a major way while they've been off on hols.
We've decided to split: I've had enough riding those 28.5 day, high amplitude cycles for the last few years.

Can guys with some experience with divorces and solicitors here, let me know:

a) looking after her kid between the ages of 4-19 count for anything?
b) Her integrated income over since marriage=30% of mine - count for anything?

My guess is that she will get 1/2 of all assets and 300£/month maintainence. Sorry for ruining your day, pls advise. Cheers.
