Hi All
Could you please help me.
I'm holding a party (nearly 100 guests!) and I want to put a small tent in the garden as everyone can't fit into the house. Where can I buy one? All the ones I see (argos& millets) describe them as for sleeping with seperate rooms.
Can someone please tell me where to look? I don't want to spend any more than £100.
Please advise me!

Onlyoneme, I've no idea how much they cost, or how 'small' you want it to be, but Costco do something that they call a 'car port', which is basically an open sided tent. (To fit 100 guests into a normal tent, thinking about the rather large six man tent I have, wouldn't be something I'd recommend, or even think possible!!)
One thing I have to raise as my biggest concern with your original idea of an actual tent, is the ease of which a tent burns. PLEASE PLEASE be careful if you do go down that road and you use a patio/table top heater or similar, or if you allow people to smoke anywhere near the tent. It can literally take seconds to burn to the ground, and I urge you to consider very carefully how you intend to ensure that couldn't happen.0 -

Thanks for your reply. I was going to keep this as a place where some people could go in to have chat, get a few drinks etc, so house doesn't get too crowded. I was thinking of using a patio heater. I now see your point. Didn't think of it before...!
Not sure what to do now....0 -
Have a look at some of your local hire co's / Marquee co's ask to hire an 'easy up' or google 'party tents'.
Any modern tent has to comply with fire regs and be made of Fire retardant material but check with the hire co if you are concerned.

Thanks so much for your reply. I will look into both ideas.0 -
Do you have a local Scout group? It might be worth contacting them about hiring . Our group is lucky to have built up a good lot of equipment over the years & we now make extra funds by hiring it out .Take my hand & we'll make it I swear0

Thant's a good idea. I have e-mailed them now and see if I get any luck. I could not contact them on the phone.0 -
Party tents are the way to go, these are very cheap and easy to errect! You will be very lucky if the Scouts lend you one as they are easily damaged, espcially at parties. (Being a Scout Leader and had a party!)0

Hi, Makro does a very nice marqee, usually about the 100 quid mark. I have also found tents made by E Z Pop Up tents are very good and can be put up within about 5-10 mins. Have a look at this link of a similar one I found on Ebay.

Dont know if I am allowed to put links in here or not, someone let me know if I am not allowed and I will edit it.
Good luck with the party!0
