How badly will this affect my chance?

We have a joint income of 80k, a £50k cash deposit, on electoral roll, no debt-cleared it all last year. BUT have 2 late payments on my credit report from 18 months ago (showing as little green 1's). Will this affect any mortgage application adversely and how badly? Looking to borrow 200k-have had mortgages in the past with no problems, currently renting privately.

I've had a mortgage approved in the past without any problems despite a couple of late payments showing on a credit report so I am sure you'll be fine. However policies may vary between lenders or have changed since then so best to check with a broker or lender direct if you're concerned.

The payments were all small and just made a couple of weeks after the statement date. No ccj's or anything like that.
  • I doubt they will make a huge difference, unless the application was border line anyway :)

You should be fine with that.

Good luck with the house hunting
