minimum time before converting to consent to lease with Halifax?

Hello, we are looking into getting a new 2yr/3yr fixed rate product in April with our current mortgage lender Halifax after our current mortgage fixed rate ends.
We're wondering, if we have a change of circumstances and have to move to a different town, would we be able to consent to lease on our new deal as soon as a month after taking it out?

Comments

  • They would complete a consent to lease application over the telephone - moving towns for jobs if out of choice will not fall under approval for consent to lease unless it was neccessary to move locations with existing company etc. Also they will probably keep you on your existing mortgage deal.
