End of fixed term - what next?

I will soon reach the end of a 5 yr fixed rate offset mortgage and would really appreciate some advice on what to do next. My mortgage balance is approx £30 000 and I don't have much to offset it with. Since taking out my mortgage I have had to greatly reduce my working hours as my caring responsibilities have increased and my savings have dwindled as a result. I currently receive CTC, WTC and child benefit which means I am able to meet my mortgage payments but need to be prepared for when these payments cease.

I plan to make an appointment to visit my bank but would like some advice before I go and as caring and work leave me with little time or energy to do research. I would really appreciate some words of wisdom.

Thanks

This is not just a question of coming to the end of a fixed rate. There are so many potential interlocking issues with this post that it may be beyond the scope of this forum to cover everyone. Consequently, I suggest you gather all the relevant information (existing income, existing mortgage KFI, benefits received, essential and discretionary monthly expenditure etc.) and book a long appointment with an independent broker to discuss all your issues.
