Hi Ya - Building Insurance Querie.....Where..How etc etc

Options
Hi MSE's,

Well we have finally received our Offer through the post from C&G, that would be exactly one month, when they told us no more than 10 days.

Anyhow its through now, so we are pleased.

The only thing is that i read on the report, that we havent taken Building Insurance out with C&G. It isnt compulsory to use them, nor will they charge us if we go elsewhere, but my query is, where do i look for this?

Is it the same as Car Insurance, like https://www.confused.com? Would anybody be able to recommend any particular company / search website, so i can get this sorted, as apparantly this is the next step we need to take, urgently as to avoid any futher hold ups.

Look forward to your opionions on this one.
Cheers!!

Get a few quotes, you may as well go via Quidco, there's some good cashback going on home cover right now

Cheers for that. Ive taken a look, and registered with Quidco. Never seen the site before, and it does look interesting.
So basically, if i click on the link and go through with the quote i get cash back from Quidco? Sounds strange, but interesting!!

    Yep, that's right!

    Two things to do:

    (i) use a comparison site to get some quotes first, noting the best ones down (make sure they are like for like cover)

(ii) use Quidco and hopefully you'll find one of the companies you noted down from your comparison.

When you go to use Quidco, make sure you clear your internet history/cookies and also that your security allows the tracking back to Quidco to take place, otherwise it might not and you won't get the cashback. I have to downgrade my security to low in order for it track - unfortunately found out the hard way and missed out on £50. It's worth trying something like Kelkoo first - losing 10p won't hurt like the bigger bucks from the insurance companies.

    Happy shopping and cashback! :D
