Important note for representatives of gold companies

We will be monitoring the threads, and if we believe any company has got its own representatives to deliberately post positive feedback (or negative on its competitors) it will be deleted, and we will count that as negatively towards any company's reliability and trustworthiness.

  • Sorry but had to share this with people that would understand my excitement (I just called my sister who doesn't understand the meaning of debt and she couldn't work out why I was so made up!)

I found an old necklace and bracelet in my jewelery box the other day that I've not worn for years so sent off for a gold bag. The bag arrived the next day and I took it to the post office where it didn't cost me to post it special delivery. Well I've just had an email from the company already to say that they are offering me £278 for the gold and if I accept they will process the payment within 3 working days!!!!!!!!! I was expecting them to say about £30 or something!

I'm so pleased, going to be so good and pay off a chunk of my Next account. Am determined to get the account paid off an closed before I get tempted to spend money on clothes for the twins when they arrive!

Going searching for more gold now..............

Which gold company did you send it to? Some of them are real rip off merchants, you may be even better off getting the gold back and taking it to a shop or even selling it on ebay. Do you know how much the gold you sold weighs? Sorry, don't want to rain on your parade so to speak but I hate seeing people getting ripped off by these con artists!

  • I did think that to be honest so since they have emailed me today I've been on a few other sites to check the value and most of them (bar one) is coming up showing less value so I'm quite happy. That was my first thought to be honest! I decided to use Tesco Gold Exchange cos I get clubcard points too so I would hope they are pretty straight.

It's funny how something so small can encourage you to do other stuff, I'm now on a mission to get some things listed on Ebay tonight that have been sitting around for months waiting to be done. I'll be rich by Christmas at this rate! ;-)

Ah that's good then, hate to think of someone getting a lot less for their gold, it happened to one of my friends and she didn't realise until it was to late!

Go for it with the Ebay, stuff, I've made a fortune recently selling stuff that I didn't think was worth anything, old clothes, half empty perfumes, you name it people will buy it!
