Nvidia 8800GTX and 8800GTS - cheapest in the UK??

Looked on Dabs.com and they have their own brand 8800GTX(Inno3D??) for 400 quid and an MSI one for 405 quid.
They also had their own brand 8800GTS(Inno3D?) for 320quid and an MSI one for 323quid. This still alot of money but since both these cards should be faster than a 7950GX2(the faster Nvidia card) which cost around the same and are more future proof they are actually not bad value!!
The prices seem to be around 40-50 quid cheaper than other sites too!!

I never see the point in purchasing £250+ cards .... when you upgrade to the best price/performance card at regular intervals and get more bang for the buck. Don't you think?
Like now... for approx £170 you can get a X1900XT which gives you max settings in a lot of games on a big monitor. You can just upgrade in a years time and get a similar card of the day and still be better off than a one year old £400 purchase?
But if you have money to burn than why not
Sounds like a beast. 0 -
I agree. If you go for a mid-high end card, regularly upgrade and sell the old one on ebay, you can keep your system updated with very little outlay.
Obviously, thats ignoring the geek social status thing though.0 -
I was amazed to see them at those prices, I just happened to see on another forum that they are cheaper at pcnextday.co.uk
£391 for a gtx

£315 for a gts (out of stock at time of writing)
