Hi,
I just received a list of documents I need to have after remortgage. He said that I should have either copy or original to avoid any problems in the future. Problem is that I did not receive anything when remortgaging few weeks ago. My flat is leasehold if that makes any difference.
That is the list which I got from him:
1. Mortgage deed - original
2. Title information - I only have a copy when I first took mortgage with Nationwide. On top of that I just relised that my wife's surname is wrong on that Title! We are both Polish and my surname finish with "ski" her should be finished with "ska" but it is written "ski" as well. Obviously someone tried to be clever at their office and made assumption that the way he thinks is a right one. Shall I do something about it?
3. Receipted notice of transfer and charge
4. Management company memorandum and articles and association
5. NHBC insurance certificate (flat is 6 years old. I bought it when was 3yo but never received anything like that)

I just called First Direct and lady told me that they dont provide Title information copy because they would have to pay for it (does not matter that their solicitor asked me to pay £50 for it...). She said I only received a copy when taking a mortgage not when remortgaging.

If you can help me with that matter I will appreciate that.
Many thanks,
Daniel

If you have just remortgaged then your solicitor will have dealt with these matters directly with your new lender. Who has asked you for these documents?

no one asked me for it. Friend told me that is good to have those documents in case of any problems in the future (mistakes being made by bank or solicitor etc.)
