Looking For Work in Dundee
Options
Hi All,
I'm looking for a little bit of help, I have a relative in Dundee who is looking for a new job as her current position is due to end next week. At present she works as a mortgage advisor but she has a degree in Law, however she is willing to do any type of work at present to tie her over.
Any help would be much appreciated.

where I work most of the new faces are supplied by an agency at the moment - I think it's cheaper than having our personnel dept. filter through the applicants.
So, tell her to get into the agencies if she hasn't done so already.;)Member of the first Mortgage Free in 3 challenge, no.19
Balance 19th April '07 = minus £27,640
Balance 1st November '09 = mortgage paid off with £1903 left over. Title deeds are now ours.0 -
Thanks I will mention that to her.0

Try looking on various newspaper websites, eg Press and Journal, Courier and Advertiser, Perthshire Advertiser, etc basically all local papers thast advertise employmnet. Friday is the day for the Couriers employment sections. Also look at Direct Gov jobs website on a daily basis - this shows all jobs in a specific catchment area. NHS scotland also have a good website showing all employment in the hospitals etc throughout Scotland.
just a couple of ideas,Every days a School day!0 -
try Gumtree, and i know all the banks were looking for staff. manpower and search are the big agencies in Dundee dealing with a lot of the bank vacancies and also the Tesco and BT call centres. There is also Kelly services - i think they are based at Wester Gourdie. Dundee City Council and Angus Council would be worth keeping an eye and and the Care Commission website (they are based at the Riverside in Dundee now) also this time of the year its worth keeping a look on the historic scotland or civil service webites as the vacancies for seasonal jobs should be coming on anytime now.
