Inflation that doesn't make the news!

Found the stick-on floor tiles that we liked in Homebase today, but there were two box sizes on the shelf. One contained tiles to cover 1sq/m, costing £11.99, and the others were for 0.56sq/m and cost £9.99. Of course the larger boxes were discontinued old stock. I haven't bothered to work out the actual price increase, but you don't have to be a genius to see that it is considerable.
I appreciate that companies can charge what they like, we don't have to buy their products, and I didn't, but this to me is just an indication of the real cost of inflation now, not just a "basket" of goods which is checked every so often. GRRRR!!!!!
