Capsule Wardrobe NI

tried House of Fraser but there were too many choices, the ones I tried didnt fit that well and I got fed up!
That is a problem I find sometimes too lol! In this day and age, more choice is always seen as a good thing, but it can be overwhelming sometimes. Being faced with row upon row of black trousers is terrifying!!!! :rotfl:
So, back to your question. I have the total opposite of a capsule wardrobe and spend my life in skirts and dresses. I almost never wear trousers (maybe a dozen times a year at most). And I love COLOUR!
I do have a few bits in neutral colours, a few LBDs etc - but on the whole, I like to wear colours. I love pinks, reds, purples, whites, shades of heather and brown. I don't care if they clash either! I love to experiment with clothes, and I love pretty hats, scarves, cardigans and coats. I also adore jewellery and bags and buy too much of both.
Sorry, got a bit carried away there! Anyway, I guessmy advice would be to try to inject some colour into your working wardrobe. Where do you work btw? That might help us to generate ideas.
Definitely try the personal shoppers, they're fab. Go to Topshop's personal shopper too, you might not buy anything but they will really encourage you to try 'something different' and you might discover a new colour or style that you like.
As regards quality - I rate Zara, Monsoon and Gap highly. I never shop in Next (I find it a bit mumsy - sorry, Next fans!
) so can't comment on it. My mum loves M&S and Wallis clothes for quality and cut, so their workwear should be good. My friend (a solicitor - she always has to look very polished) swears by Principles.
One more tip! Try charity shops - I've bought lots of stuff in them from Benetton, Gap, French Connection, Monsoon etc - sometimes with the tags still attached! Most only accept good quality stuff these days so you are bound to find something really nice for a fraction of the RRP.

You're best forgetting about Next. It's nothing like it used to be - most of their stuff now is unwearable rubbish.
And I speak as someone who used to shop there all the time.:(0
