We are using this guy http://www.mikedjkelly.co.uk/ as he is the resident DJ at our hotel (Weetwood Hall) and as I had no idea where to start with finding someone I figured if he is a resident DJ and they keep having him back he must be ok or they would have too many complaints to make it worth their while keeping him on as resident. Well, that was my logic!
I guess I'll be able to tell you better after May!

We are using big big love .com - we wanted mainly eighties and no cheesy stuff and the guy we have been dealin with seemed really enthusiastic and professional.
We trawle all the sites looking for the best one we could find. Ill let uour know how it went0 -
We used http://www.davepierceentertainment.co.uk/index.html - is Leeds in West Yorkshire as website says he goes there. Our evening do was AMAZING - loads of fun! We had an impromptu dance off and he mixed up the songs perfectly! he also asked us before the night for a list of "must plays" and "don't plays" - so he could get a flavour of the kind of music we wanted. We had everything from Abba to Stone Roses to S Club 7 to The Killers - but he managed to move between them all well and judge what would keep everyone on the dance floor!
Highly recommended and only £175 for 7.30pm - 1am!Virtual Sealed Pot Challenge #148 - £59.93
Crazy Clothes Challenge # 103 - £84/£200 £30 Coat/£12 shirt/£23 jeans/£6 t-shirt/£13 2 x tops
Shoes £79/£100: Cowboy boots, canvas pumps, re-heal boots/ £25 safari shoes0 -
Hi, I know this is a bit of an old post but I was looking for a wedding DJ a few months ago and had the same worries as above. I ended up going with a guy called Chris from CDJ mobile disco (based near Leeds somewhere)
We had met him at a 60th party for a family member where he was DJ'ing and seemed to have a good selection of tunes and went down pretty well. He's pretty helpful in terms of letting us select our own type of music and has some good suggestions. Cant wait0 -
We also used http://www.davepierceentertainment.co.uk/
They couldn't have done a better job for our wedding back in December. Really happy with the service, they met up with us to discuss the day and they were £150 cheaper than the venue's own DJ that we had been quoted for!0 -
Hello I no this post is now old , but just seen it and thought I would reply. My name is Neil and I do mobile discos and have been for the past 20 years . From Leeds then moved to preston for the lady 12 years , worked in all 5star hotels to all the piers in Blackpool the tower and the pleasure beach . When looking for a DJ always phone them don't just email , you get to know abut about them while in the phone , also ask them if they have a website always good to see what you might be buying ! Ask if you can see them doing a gig they should say no problem unless they have something to hide !
