Where can I get instrumental music?

Options
I can't afford a string quartet for my wedding and would like to find some pre-recorded instead but I'm not having much luck.

The song I want the most is Damien Rice's The Blower's Daughter played on strings, can anyone help me find a copy?

There's a piano cover version on youtube if that helps? I have no idea how good or otherwise it is, as i am not familiar with this particular tune.

It's listen in their Rock and Pop repertoire and their listen page seems to suggest you can purchase tracks if you contact them.

When i had napster subscription, and spoitfy, most songs that had been released as a single, has a instrumental version with it if you searched for it? im not sure if u can still get a free trail of napster but u get so many free downloads, might be worth looking in to
  • This is a slightly random suggestion, but would you consider hiring an amateur group? I think if you approached a local music college or even put an ad in the paper you might find a group that really wanted the opportunity to play in public. If they are music students, they are going to be pretty good, but much much cheaper than professionals. They might do it for free for publicity or something.

fillyjonk is quite right, my 3 children are all music students and have formed a string trio and play at weddings and parties etc. They play for a fraction of the price of quartets.
Good luck in your search, there is nothing like the real thing.
