Refund difference on sale item?

Hi,
I bought four pairs of boots just over a week ago from a high street store, I went back to the store today to find that their shoe stock has been reduced by a further £5. Am I within my rights to go back to the store and ask them to refund me for the goods then re-purchase them straight away at the lower price?
They haven't been worn yet and £20 would be quite a saving if I'm able to get it.
Thanks

The store does not have to refund you for goods that are not faulty..... but they may! Smile, be nice and give it a try. Some days you're the dog..... most days you're the tree!0

There's no legal requirement for them to refund you unless there's some problem with the boots covered by the Sale of Goods Act. But who knows if they haven't been worn you might be able to get a credit note or similar but it would be at their discretion.0

Iv been in plenty of shops and asked for the difference back and they are always more than happy to do it for me....i even asked if they do this alot, and i was told they have plenty of people coming in asking for a refund difference.
Good luck0 -
Often if you do this the refund price is what the goods are on offer for now,(ie, the sale price) so you would be refunded only the sale price. So it would be a waste of time.
There are big notices in Primark and other high street shops, so i would check the refund policy of the shop before you do anything.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
Do you have the receipt? If so they are likely to give you a refund for the full price.
Do they have your size out on the shelf at the lower price? If so, then you can buy them at the cheaper price. If they do not have your size they can be awkward and not put yours back out on the shop floor/resell it you for a lower price. I tried this once with a leading dept store, saying I bought it yesterday and now it's another 20% off and she basically said "well you were happy with the price yesterday....." and said the items don't go straight back on the shop floor. Eventually she refunded it and sold it straight back to me, but they don't have to- it is good will rather than a "right".0
