Being inspired from a previous poster (name I currently forget) who mentioned that she's got a picture of her house and she colours in sections of her house as she pays the mortgage off got me thinking over the weekend - wouldn't it be easier to have a computerised version of this?

So I've sat down this morning and have created a simple PowerPoint that does the same but appeals to my nerdy side..

It's currently only set up to a house with a value/mortgage of 150k but I've stuck in a random house picture and there are 150 house tiles each worth 1k each. As your mortgage goes down by 1k you delete a tile and thus you have a pictorial representation of how much of your house you "own" and how much there is still in the banks grip.

I don't know if it's useful, but thought I'd share it with you should anyone else want to adapt and dabble with it to personalise it for yourselves.

If anyone wants me to do one for them, e.g. a different amount, I can certainly try, or you just change the value of each tile so it fits into 1/150th of the value.

Any feedback gratefully received :)

Thanks

I'm not expecting this to be wildly popular, just thought it might help a few people out :)
