I need a mortgage on my council house that I have been living in for about 12 years, most of the banks don't lend on this kind of property as it is classed as a pre-fab
CAN anyone help with info on how to get mortgage on this house

You should speak to a broker.
Have you been offered the property under Right to Buy?
What is the construction type name? If it is classed as 'defective' you will struggle. Have the council done any work to the structure of it?
Probably classed as a PRC home. Many were repaired and became mortgageable.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it.
