Shoe & Petticoat/Underskirt Help?

Hi all,
Hope everyone's planning is going well!
Looking for a bit if advice on underskirts/petticoats? I have an a-line Ben Roberts dress, with a long train - what underskirt would i need to get for the dress, and where can i get a reasonably priced one? I never knew how many different choices and shapes there were...
Also, can anyone point me in the direction of some nice, ivory wedding shoes?
I kinda want to avoid E-bay due to some bad experiences on there...
Thanks so much!

Debenhams have got some great ivory shoes in at the moment, BHS have good ones on the website (free returns for both). John Lewis have half price rainbow club in their sale. All reputable cos. so good for 'no quibble' returns.
I ordered these and they are really lovely!

def a good buy when you consider similar shoes that are rainbow club etc sell for £80.
I also ordered these and they suit my vintage style dress better (plus I need straps) so these are my shoes...

I used the Jupon website to see what they recommend for my style dress, if you click on the image it describes the petticoat (how many layers of net etc) and say what style of dress suitable for. Then you could just look for suitable alternatives.

If you are in an a line dress you will probably need one like the 163, 165 or 168 depending on how big you want the skirt. Mine is a slim A line so I have a 163 which is basically a dropped hip with only 2 layers of net (although am contemplating removing one layer!).0 -
Although I can and do sew, I didn't want the hassle of making a petticoat for my DD.
This company http://www.jacquisbridal.co.uk/ were very helpful re the best style petticoat for the dress. I emailed the wesite showing the actual dress which was in hand loomed ivory silk. Without talking to them, I would have opted for an Ivory or Cream one. They suggested white was a better option for the particular colour of the dress.
I did buy from them, super service but the excellent advice was freely given before I purchased.
Oh yes, the dress with the petticoat looked fabulous, which, strangely enough was the name of the actual dress:)0 -
Look linda@no9 up on here or google/facebook dresses@no 9 :-) She's amazing & had been so helpful with helping me choose my petticoat & has actually been the best priced for it too :-)0
