LTV when remortgaging

My partner and I bought a house 2 months ago on a 100% mortgage with a 2 year tie in period.

With overpaying and home improvements over 2 years having 10% equity I feel is very realistic. How competitive are remortgage rates on 90%LTV?

I know when buying it is best to have 10% deposit to get the best rates (which we were not eligible for), but what LTV is required for best rates on remortgages?

I am thinking about how much we could push ourselves to try and reach 15% equity in 2 years, and whether the sacrifices along the way will be worth it.

Thanks!

"How competitive are remortgage rates on 90% LTV?" - How long is a piece of string?

In terms of getting better rates, yes you would generally be able to get better rates when your LTV is lower, I would suggest having a look on a few provider's websites to compare, then you can make a judgement call on whether to wait or not.

Don't have any advice to offer, just wanted to say well done.
