Next credit account question

Hi - about 2 years ago I purchased something off Next's online site and promptly paid off my balance, leaving my account at zero.

I have not used the account since and can not find the paperwork I received when placing the order (as it was 2 years ago - I suspect it has probably been shredded by now :o).

TBH, I completely forgot about this account until I performed a credit check recently and noticed this was still on there - so, here is the question - how do I go about closing this account if I have lost my account no. etc? (I have also moved house since, and as I forgot about this account I did not inform Next of my change of details, and so have not recieved any further letters from them).

I emailed their customer service department with my name and old address, and they could not find my details on their system for some reason (even though the account is open, as it is still on my credit file).

So, how do I close this account, and does anyone know if Next charge a fee for dormant accounts??
I smile because I have no idea what is going on :o

Just give them a call and they will find your details. I called for a friend and it was no problem at all (I was trying to sort out a default she had been given fron Next).

There will be no fees for a dormant account.

    Try 0844 844 8000 or 0800 587 7758
