Suits - Father of bride/groom and best man

Hi everyone,

My bloke and mum have both been nagging me to start doing something about this wedding, but I know nothing about weddings so expect lots of random questions popping up on here

When it comes to buying suits, are the Father of Groom and the Best Man supposed to match the Father of the Bride?

I'd be happy with them wearing just a smart suit and tie but OH wants to wear a proper wedding outfit so it's all going to have to match, but I'm not sure what is supposed to match!

normally the groom, best man, father of the bride and father of the groom (with any other groomsmen that are choosen) will be wearing the same suit etc with maybe a little difference for the groom so he's more noticeable.

although as you see i've said normally, my OH is scottish so him, the best man and his dad are all wearing kilts. my dad (not being scottish lol) doesn't really want to wear a kilt so i'm just going to get him a suit and waistcoat that will blend in well with the kilt my OH has chosen to wear.

ideally you can do what ever you want, have just the groom and best man matching with the respective fathers in a nice suit maybe with a waist coat matching your bridesmaids dress colour or maybe just match the colour of the tie, its what you want that matters.
