PDA Card and Craft??

Hi all, I am looking to make my own wedding invitations, orders of service, menus and place cards and was advised to have a look at pda. I am completely overwhelmed with all the different types, brands etc and I was hoping that someone could point me in the right direction...
I am looking for pre-folded cards, single fold and I want a nice matt look that will be easy to stick things on to. I am not a card expert by any stretch of the imagination so I dont even know where to start. Ideally I would like something that is good quality, looks good and will generally serve its purpose. I dont want "top of the range" but neither do I want "bottom of the range".
I am finding the website particularly confusing and its giving me a headache. I would also like matching envelopes for my invitations - another section that is also confusing.
I apologise if I am just being stupid but perhaps anyone who has used the site will be able to tell the best card for my needs.
Thanks
Me xx

I bought all of my stuff for invitations from here. We went for gatefold ivory linen with the matching envelopes. Before we decided what we wanted from PDA card and craft (there is a lot to look at!) we went to hobbycraft and local art and craft shop to look at paper types, and also looked at invitation styles at wedding fairs to help with design.
Hammered card looks quite nice for weddings and I think is ok for sticking stuff on.
I think with the website you need to know what card type you want, then choose the size and colour. At the bottom there are links to matching products e.g. matching envelopes and insert sheets.
The linen envelopes we got are lovely but quite thin, wish I'd bought envelope liners for them.
Hope that helps!0 -
OP, just wanted to say thank you for asking the question! I too am intending to make all the stationery and have not got a scooby where to start!! I will keep an eye on the answers

This is what you're looking for - I think - http://www.pdacardandcraft.co.uk/creased-card-blanks/single-crease-card-blanks.html
My advice with PDA would be to order one of their swatch packs - and that way, you can see the thickness of the card (but the higher the number, the thicker the card is)
I'm not sure if you want white/ivory/coloured card....but the swatch will give you the colours too.Why does nobody say Thank You anymore??:mad:Debt Free as of September 2011 :jSealed Pot 2009 number 334 - £100 Saved! yey!!Sealed Pot 2010 number 334 - £116.51 Saved! Yey!! YIPPEE!!0 -
Anyone know of any discount weekends that might be coming up for PDA Card and Craft.

Everyone, we went to see Jo at PDA last weekend as its only up the road from us. She is wonderful! She said if we had any questions to call her. If anyone needs me to run up and go through colours I could do :0)Married the love of my life on 28th April 2011 :T
