Boots 90% Sale, possible date

I asked at London Westfield today, and was told they will either be sending their remaining items (tat) to Beckton, or put it on a Clearance section, next Wednesday. Nobody said "yes" when I asked if it would be 90%, but they didn't say no either, and just said "we're not sure"!

TBH, the shelves in all the stores I visited looked awful. Torn bags, brush sets with half the brushes missing, Gok and Fearne boxes with the lids off/items pulled about.

Hardly inviting!

I know the Grays store put all the leftover 75% off on their clearance section last year because i bought OH a star trek mug for £1 at Easter!!

Judging by Lakeside's leftovers - the mysterious Basildon clearance store will be full of Fearne boxes, strictly sets, subutteo mugs, weenicon mugs, urban mugs and photo frames!!

I popped into my local Boots today and they still had lots of Strickly cases, Front cover sets & Twilights sets left along with wrapping paper, cards and that sort of thing. I remember last years sale and buy this this time the stock had been cleared so fingers crossed. I'll keep an eye out and if anything gets reduced further I'll let you all know :-)

I have no idea... my guess is that it could be the one on the Mayflower Industrial park.. but having said that i haven't ventured up there so don't know for sure.

Do any of you lot know of any others in Basildon?? I know the main one in the shopping centre is just your bog standard Boots.

hmmmm... i am so curious to know...

I'm off to the factory store on the Mayflower at some point this week so I'll have a little drive around and see if I can find the Boots clearance outlet. I'm sorry, I don't know of any others in Basildon, I do know there's a weeny one in Tilbury that sometimes has other shops cheap cast offs, not very often though. xx

There isnt one in Basildon its Beckton. The Mayflower retail park is a standard store.

The reason we are talking about the Basildon store, is that some time ago, someone asked on the 75% thread, where there were Clearance stores.

Myself, and several other posters, mentioned Beckton, and then someone else said "Beckton and Basildon". Nobody else knows of a Clearance store in Basildon, which is why we are (jokingly) saying we'll go to Basildon!

See, i was told (outside this forum) there was one in Basildon (i dont live there so wouldn't know whether or not they did)... Mind you, its an ongoing joke that I'm a boots addict so they are likely to be pulling my leg .... or not... we shall find out!! LOL

Talking of Tilbury - yes the boots there is weenie... last time i passed there, it had 3 bare shelves tucked in the corner...

I know Grays sent all there stuff to Lakeside so i'm guessing the Tilbury one may have too...

Anyone in the Thurrock area been to the Corringham one? I always forget there!!
