I love Adobe Photoshop for making invitations / posters / leaflets / websites!
It is however the industry standard and therefore VERY expensive. However they have a home version called Adobe Elements.
Highly recommend."Isn't it enough to see that a garden is beautiful without having to believe that there are fairies at the bottom of it too?" (Douglas Adams)0 -

In my experience anything decent that comes for free has limitations (e.g. you can't save files or the software is only available on trial for 20 days or suchlike).
However take a look on https://www.downloads.com"Isn't it enough to see that a garden is beautiful without having to believe that there are fairies at the bottom of it too?" (Douglas Adams)0 -
It depends on what you want to produce, and also if it is just for personal use ior if you need something maybe for business use. Photoshop is great but if you are doing complex text based designs illustrator is better as photoshop will make text come out fuzzy no matter how you tweak it, of course if you are doing lots of text then importing your pictures into word is still a great option in many cases.A waist is a terrible thing to mind.0
