Water flavouring?

Does anyone know of a water flavouring similar to that as sold by Cambridge Diet Counsellors which is available to buy?
I can't drink plain water and remember from when I did the Cambridge Diet a few years ago that they sold a tub of water flavouring, berry or orange I seem to remember, which lasted for ages as you only needed a tiny amount?
Thanks for any help!

  • The only place I have seen it for sale other than from CD is on Ebay.

I recently bought some Nuun water flavour tablets. I think they may be ok for the sort of diet you are on,but they are intended for athletes. I got them in readiness for my planned excercise regime - not started yet :o
  • Hi thanks for that, had a quick look on Ebay but couldn't see anything, think they are no longer allowed to sell CD products if I remember correctly, will look for the Nuun ones

    I can't drink plain water...

Shouldn't that be you won't drink plain water?

If you could just get your head round it, it would solve a lot of problems!
    How to find a dentist.
    1. Get recommendations from friends/family/neighbours/etc.
    2. Once you have a short-list, VISIT the practices - dont just phone. Go on the pretext of getting a Practice Leaflet.
    3. Assess the helpfulness of the staff and the level of the facilities.
    4. Only book initial appointment when you find a place you are happy with.

I drink Wittard tea drink powders (I have the sugar free ones, but there are more with sugar) which you can drink hot or cold http://www.whittard.co.uk/store/catalogue/Instant-Tea-P4000/

Oh and savory (hot): marigold bouillon powder I have the reduced salt one they do, and it's quite tasty.

I've seen bolero http://www.drink-bolero.com/ (available on ebay and other places) and want to try it and I did see a product in my local asda but I'm not sure if they still have it, it was in the bottled drinks aisle and was a box of sachets.

hmmm, I'd say it's a bit of both, to me trying to drink water is like trying to drink someone else's spit - just the thought of it makes me want to vomit, but I can drink really weak squash, or even water with a bit of lemon in it if I really, really have to. The only time in the last 15 years I recall drinking plain water was when I was extremely drunk & my friend bought me a bottle and I realised & agreed with her that I needed to drink it (and was drunk enough not think about it being plain water).

  • Thank you all, will have a look for the one in Asda, we have a huge Asda Walmart near us so that might stock it. Failing that, will order the one off Ebay. And will have a look at Whitards too, gab idea. Many thanks, you are all so clever!

Re can't/won't drink plain water, I really really cannot bear it in my mouth, it makes me gag, I can't even take tablets with water, I have to have milk or squash. I have never liked it even when I was a child, I remember fainting once on a very hot holiday while out walking as there was only water to drink, (and tepid water at that) and I just could not drink it, yuck! I know people say water has no taste, but it does, it tastes of water!

Will let you know what I find, thanks again

I'm exactly the same, nearly fainted at brownie camp one summer! I just cannot drink plain water - can just get away sucking ice cubes if I need to though! Even when brushing my teeth etc, I have to be able to spit all the water out!
