Child Bank Account

Hi

Does anyone know if there is a bank account for a child aged 10 that comes with a cash/ATM card or on-line access?

Nationwide, NatWest and Lloyds TSB are also from age 11.

Yorkshire BS child account is from age 12 but interestingly their Cash Transactor account, which has no credit facilities, has no minimum age stated in T&Cs and can be opened as a joint account.

It has a minimum age of 14 for the Link card but has internet banking facilities, currently BACS transfers, not sure of minimum age for registering for it. So, if really can't wait until 11 it may be possible to open one as joint account with a parent and for only the parent to have a Link card or access it only on-line.
It depends on the circumstances and what it is for, it does not give total independence to 10 year old but may allow money transfers in/out online if that is what is required. You will need to confirm if this is possible with YBS of course.
