They might not technically accept online stuff in store, but they don't know you bought it online unless you tell them :) However, you won't be able to get a refund as they don't offer them instore only online under DSR I guess.

Thing is though, you wouldn't have a receipt to take it back instore. Last time I took something back to SD without a receipt, they looked it up on their systems to locate the transaction before doing an exchange.

Actually I have also done an exchange instore for an online purchase with no problems, with the order invoice.

Just say it is a gift, if you have no proof. I didn't need any before.

They did the same for me when Flyboy9 got some goalkeeper's gloves for his birthday last year. His godfather, who lives two hundred miles away, bought them local to him, but they were too small. I explained where they had been bought and they were able to confirm this and changed them for us.
The greater danger, for most of us, lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low and achieving our mark
  • I got some slippers for only £4 from Brum store. Really nice and soft. It took a while to find pairs but worth it. I would have brought some more as pressies but going to gig and no where to stash them.
