Using Vouchers at Asda

Options
Does anyone know if Asda use a regional or national policy when using vouchers for items that you haven't bought?

I receive loads of vouchers through the post (especially high value booze ones) and used to use them with my shopping even when I hadn't bought the item. About 12 months ago I was told quite rudely that "we don't do that anymore"

Since then I've discovered that a large number of my friends around the country are still happily using their vouchers at Asda with no problems and I'm a little annoyed that my local branch have stopped doing this when others clearly haven't.

Best advice - phone your local store and speak with the Manager of the Store (not department Manager/s).

That's what I did, then when I shopped with my coupons and the assistant queried it, I had the power of knowledge plus a name on hand who she could ask directly! ;)

I have 3 Asda quite local to me and was getting varying information regarding using vouchers from them, most assistants simply said we don't accept internet vouchers, then checking with 2 or 3 other people every single visit, it was becoming tedious and also embarrassing.

I contacted Asda head office and this is the official policy

    All stores acccept internet vouchers
It is at the store managers discretion how much to accept them for, (from a minimum of 10%).

I asked them to send me a letter outlining the above which I keep with my vouchers and show whenever anyone queries my vouchers, which hasn't been for quite a while now.
There is nothing either good or bad but thinking makes it so.
