santander

hi all wondering if anyone on here can shed a little light on my dilema.

Basically in 2005 i had a few loans from cahoot, got in a mess and couldnt pay them, in 2006 i defaulted and since then i have never paid them or heard from them.

I decided to check my credit file this week and both cahoot debts were settled?? news to me, but then i noticed a loan ffrom santander for £8900 obviously ive never had a loan from these so decided to ring them up and ask what i should do to get this removed from my file, i also sent equifax an email stating the same, but never once told the people at santander my name.

Obviously i have only just realised that cahoot are now part of santander??

what do you think i should do??

any answers muchly appreciated.
