Spicy Indian Semolina Cake?

Hi, came across a snack I had never tasted before but am unsure of the name. It was a delicious, very spicey, vegetarian cake (cut in cubes and topped with fried coriander, mustard seeds and other tasty titbits). When I asked about it, it was apparently made of semolina.
However, I have tried to google the recipe, but, being not quite sure of the name of it, I have come across web pages that argue whether it is semolina or not so I am now completely flumuxxed:o.
Does anyone have a clue what I am referring to and if so, even better, does anyone have a recipe because it was absolutely delicious!
Thanks very much

This is probably going to be the most useless response ever, but yes, I know exactly what you're talking about - an Indian lady at work made one for a charity cake sale we had a couple years ago. Sadly I don't know what it's called or how you make it (I said this was a useless response!
), but I hope someone knows as you're right - it's delicious.

Are there any Indian sweet shops near you? Cos you could have a nosy and see if you recognise it then get the name from there.:heartpulsSpoiling my two baby girls with love - it's free and it's fun!:heartpuls
I'm not very good at succinct. Why say something in 10 words when 100 will do?

It is not actually sweet - it is spicey.
But sadly there are no Indian shops near me. There is a Chinese supermarket, but sadly not Indian. Thanks to MSE, I am mortgage free!

It's just that the sweet shops round here sell savoury stuff too, samosas and the like. I'll keep an eye out, and I'll be in Bradford tomorrow so will go in any shops I pass to have a look:heartpulsSpoiling my two baby girls with love - it's free and it's fun!:heartpuls
