Hi all, Could someone please tell me on average how long a remortgage takes once approved ? :beer:

    Depends on the company doing the mortgage and also how quick you existing mortgage provider is to deal.

    Agreed - 4-6 weeks is a good average I suppose.

    Can be quicker, can be longer - but don't raise your expectations in case you are looking for a quick turnaround.

    WE just came out of our penalty period on 1st November and ours has not come through yet. They reckoned it could take 2 weeks after the penalty date. We did all the signing of stuff well ahead, so it is just the formalities to complete.
    The solicitors doing it for the Nationwide did say it would take between 4 and 6 weeks.
