5 year fixed 3.99% HSBC good deal ??

Are there any better offers than this?
They also only charge £99 for a switch from Halifax after my 2 year fix with them ended. Plus they give you a Mortgage fee transfer package.

I would think lower. The lowest fixed rates I could get a year ago with 75% LTV were about 5.3 or 5.4%. I know they've come down, despite interest rates not having fallen, but 3.99%?
Can we just take it as read I didn't mean to offend you?

Max LTV is 60% on that deal. Costs are: Booking fee £99 + valuation fee £227 + Completion Fee (payable when the mortgage is drawn down) £30. So total fee = £356.

For those who qualify (LTV) and who want a 5 year fix, it's currently a good rate. Other similar 5 yr fix rates have either been pulled (eg FD) or fees are much higher.

The tough question for those currently on a low tracker is do i fix and pay a bit more now and maybe save later, or do i keep my low rate tracker, and maybe pay off more of mortgage, to keep ltv down, maybe fix in summer/autumn? (when i suspect a 5yr fix @ 3.99% will be a distant memory, but you never know).

    Hmmmmm decisions, decisions.....!

I noticed that but it said that you must have a combined income of 50k with one of the applicants earning at least 30k....

I'd just seen this deal. Currently with C&G, happily plodding along on the SVR but would be foolish to think it can last much longer.

We're also looking at reducing the term from 20 to 14 year. Would like to go to 10 but hopefully soon we'll be back to paying £500/month in nursery fees ;)

Think I'll put in my application!! Thanks OP!

its 60% LTV with no valuation fee as I am a HSBC customer and there giving me a Mortgage free transfer package, only the £99 to pay.
Obviously a good deal and I will go for it

It's the best deal I can find. Just filling in online app form and am at the section, basically about conveyancing. As I'm a remortgage customer, I've ticked the box as it says. It also says I'll need to let them know the name of the firm who would be doing the conveyancing on my behalf. Do you HAVE to have a conveyancer??? I don't remember one last time.
My Fiance is a HSBC customer. Do you think we could get the same free package?

ooooh, now to continue? or see what they can do in the bank? I hate having to trawl around- I'm far too busy!

Can anyone answer a couple of questions on this?

Would being a First Direct Customer class as being an HSBC customer?
How long would this offer last (I need to complete this offer in 6 months as that's when my current mortgage is fee free)? Is it a 3 month offer?

I've tried calling them and they are too busy and need to ring me back tomorrow....I'd apply online if I knew the answers!
