jellyhead wrote:sorry to come in at the end of the thread, just wondered if anyone can shed light on today's shopping. i forgot to use a double points voucher and i got my dates wrong so my ten percent off voucher didn't work (valid from tomorrow!) and i forgot to get the no7 voucher out of the free bags to use when buying the stuff lol!
but anyway. i bought bunny toy 18.00
no7 compact and free bag 15.00
lips compact and free bag. free with 3 for 2 xmas gift symbols
baby toothbrush 2.50
cost £35.50
i used 200 points toy voucher i'd had in baby mailing
350 points total spend from machine
200 points for christmas no7
was also given 142 points for the transaction
and 72 points called 'double baby points'
anyone know what the double baby points were and why i got them?
It's extra points on the bunny toy (18*4=72) but I'm not sure why!!Start every day by telling yourself how beautiful and intelligent you are0 -
Went into my regular Boots today and checked my offers in the ACM. The latest offers are still not available, only a couple of the old ones from last month. However when I went to a different branch at the weekend all the latest offers were there. Has anyone else experienced this? Are Boots trying to stop me from getting all the new offers0

I got this coupon from parenting club mail (double points for Boots baby branded products) but didn't use it, but the till already gives me double points for any Boots baby items - as I'm parenting club member I think.0 -
The hair removal and free Botanics Glow Cream offer works with the 31p disposable razors - I thought I would try it and return the stuff if necessary but it worked!!! There is no advertising up at all about this offer so I don't know how many people will actually go for it. Guess who is going to buy a years supply of razors!!!
I also got the Christmas No7 nail varnish (not my cup of tea but the kids will like it). Used my £5 voucher and had a 200 extra point voucher as well. They both went through. Might be "forced" to get another tomorrow.
Didn't get another free mini haircare voucher though - I will try again tomorrow to see if it is one per day or just one per customer.0 -

I haven't had one at all so probably a slim chance of it coming up more than once for you lucky ones...Do I Need One Stops All Unnecessary Reckless Spending£2 CSC - £30 :kisses3:0 -
dunno if this is the right place to post this, but i'd bought some mark hill ceramic coated straighteners from boots nov 2004 and the coating had recently started to come off. i vaguely remembered that the guarantee on the product was still valid but had no proof of purchase or packaging.
took the product back to boots, the product was definately in their back-catalogue and i was offered an exchange upto the current value of the product (would have been full paid value if i still had the reciept) which was about £26.66.
I had originally paid £40 in advantage points for the product which was on half price offer at the time, have upgraded to a fantastic new pair of babyliss tourmaline and ceramic straighteners, whiich are currently £69.00 down to £39.99 and paid £13.33 extra in points, 5 yrs manufacturers guarantee....and this time i'm photocopying the reciept!!!!
hope this helps anyone who's got a pair of starighteners that could do with an upgrade and doesn't really want to fork out for a brand new pair!!Everything in life is a paradox. The more you want approval, the more you become a person that other people don't want to approve of, the less you care about whether you get approval, the more you get.:A0 -
geordielass wrote:hi nat,it seems the only way to cancel an advantage card is by phone.
from the boots website;
Please contact our Customer Care Centre on 0845 124 4545 (local rate) who will be able to cancel your old card and arrange for your points to be transferred to a replacement card.
Could you possibly ask someone else to ring up for you?Hope you get it sorted and don't forget to get all your receipts validated so you can get your points added on when you get your new card.In a Den first, Theo Paphitis has been getting business information from a talking tree.0 -

The_Old_Bag wrote:Just one grumble at the moment. Local smaller Boots have started putting stickers on their reduced goods which have lower price hand written, but also a bar-code. When buying multiple of these reduced items any bogofs or 3 for 2 offers which Boots are currently running do not kick in, as they scan this lower priced barcode, and not the product bar-code.
But, in large city centre Boots they just scan the product barcode, so all the extra discounts DO kick in.
Rather petty of them I think. If they are on the reduced shelf surely they are old stock they want to get rid of. If I am prepared to buy 2 or 3 at a time, why shouldn't I get the extra discount, I'm helping to keep the store nice and tidy by clearing the clutter off their reduced shelf !;)
Good point and worth noting when getting these.
I think they do it as normal practice, because quite often smaller stores stop selling ranges that larger stores will continue selling (at full price). Therefore if they let them scan they would still come up at full price.
hope that makes sense!0 -
the bunny was 'learning through play' yes, but i can only remember a coupon for double points on boots toiletries and i'm sure i didn't hand it in because i don't really buy baby toiletries. it might have said all boots baby items and i'm being thick
i'm going to buy something else in that range for christmas so extra points will be great!
i gave my sister her no7 birthday present with free gift bag and we opened the gift bag. she loves the varnish and skincare stuff, mum is really chuffed with the lipstick and mascara and i've had the lipliner. the gloss has gone into the pressie box so we're all happy bunnies!52% tight0
