Going on the pill, planning ahead so hoilday period free?

Hi, can anyone help me get my head around this?!
I am going on the pill (Brevinor) as I really don't want to get pregnant again, and also to hopefully lighten my periods, as at present they last over a week and have a couple of days where I am pretty much house bound as they are so heavy.
I don't tend to use any medication, and prefer to stay natural and it does feel wrong to me to be taking a pill regularly of any sort.
My period naturally always comes with the full moon, or a day or two either side, and I am reluctant to change that as its how my body sits with nature comfortably.( and allows myself the right to be a lunatic!)
I've had the pills a few months but it hasn't felt right to start with them , but I do want to give them a go!
It occurred to me though that I should be thinking ahead as we have got Glastonbury tickets and i want to be 100% sure my period will not be around then, and I'd like my cycle to of settled down in time.
Glastonbury I will be away 20th June to 30th June and don't want my period within that time, Full moon June 2011, is June 15th,so I guess, if I aim to start a few days before then, should be out of the way in time!
The packet says to start on 1st day of bleeding ( for me that was two days ago Wednesday) take for 21 days, stop for 7 days, when I should bleed.
I know you can just continue on to the next packet to skip a period, but I have heard you may still bleed a little, and I don't want to be unnaturally hormonal!
Can I just start any time?
I just cant get my head around when to start, any body good at this sort of problem solving?! Your brains would be much appreciated!

In my experience taking the pill should be taken according to the instructions, otherwise you may be heading for another pregnancy!

Can I just start any time? You need to talk to who prescribed them really.

Did wonder about going back to ask Dr.
Though was thinking its just a simple problem solving puzzle , I cant work out! feel a bit of an idiot, also don't feel dotors understand where I'm coming from when i mention "natural" and "full moon "etc, feel like they just think I'm a hippy weirdo! (I am!)

Me neither - I've had back to back packs loads of times for holidays and special occasions, and I've never had any problems with bleeds at all.

If you start taking the pill midcycle it doesn't work as contraception for the first 7 days, whereas if you start on the first day of your period then you are covered from the start

When you explain it to the docs you can always leave out the full moon issue, just saying you have a 28 day cycle (true and it just happens for you that it coincides with the fullmoon)
