I fill mine with grated cheese, mushrooms and cooked chicken, and then serve with guacamole, salsa and half fat creme fraiche. Also, always do mine in the oven for about 5 mins. If its just myself and Mr Frizz eating, we'll add a few blobs of tabasco too.

 Guess what I fancy for tea now? :rotfl:

*off to see if we have any mushrooms* :D

I've just found the George Foreman one on Amazon - I see what it is now.

I'll have a look and see if there's anything similar around

  • Just thought of another one that's v cheap and vvvv nice - refried beans and cheese. Also works as a toasted sandwich and great on winters nights for warming you up.

What about sweet ones? Maybe chocolate and banana would work?

That's the one I've got - I got it in Currys a couple of years ago - it came free with the Fajhiti Sizzler in the same range, which I bought for a friends wedding pressie (which incidently is a load of old tosh as it doesn't heat up enough to sizzle IMO) . I didn't think we'd use it much but it's fantastic - the light shows you when it's hot enough to use, load it up - click it shut and perfectly sealed results...so easy to clean too...probably the 3rd most used kitchen gadget after the SC and BM.

quesadillia maker (basically a round sandwhich toaster thing - seals the edges nicely).

I don't understand? Isn't a frying pan all you need. I make mine folded in half, so turning is no problem whatsoever.....but you people must do something really exotic to require a special gadget.

BTW, I'm in the plain cheese camp (then cut folded quesadilla into three triangles and dip in salsa or branston)

I have one of those panini sandwich press things that I use to make quesadillas.

My fave filling is mixed peppers, red onion and cheese.....mmmmm!!

Have also tried the banana and chocolate filling as someone mentioned earlier and that too is yummy.
