Hi,
I have a large gammon joint which I need to cook this afternoon and don't know whether it's best to roast or boil it? I have only ever cooked it in the slow cooker but forgot all about it this morning
so have left it too late. I don't eat gammon myself so looking for recommendations for what tastes best and is easiest and won't use as much energy! Thanks

I have done exactly the same thing, I just put mine on to boil.
What I some times do is boil it then cut out the rind cover it in maple syrup then roast itNothing to see here, move along.0 -

Thanks for your replies. I've put mine on to boil as the instructions said it would be quicker, so that was the decider
How long do you roast it for after it has been boiled? I don't have any maple syrup, any other suggestions?

Spread with mustard and then sprinkle with brown sugar after putting rough diamond shapes over the fat, is lovely or spread with a little honey. Both these taste lovely.0
