Kebabs in the oven

Options
I have some pork steaks from the freezer that I am going to marinate and make into kebabs with some onions and peppers, i am always wary of undercooking pork so would it be ok to cook them in the oven on the wooden skewers then finish off under the grill?

Make sure the skewers have been soaked, so the skewers themselves do not burn. Place kebabs on a trivet/grid above the roasting pan so they do not sit in the grease/fat that will be released.
For myself I am an optimist - there does not seem to be much use being anything else.

Thanks, I have the sticks soaking now and will put them on my grill pan in the oven!

I think I would grill them first to get them nice and brown and then finish them off in the oven - don't actually know that it would be any better, but I think they might get a bit dry if you fully cook them in the oven and then grill the outside.

I would just oven cook them. they will be fine.
  • Thanks for the replies, i ended up just doing them in the oven for just under 20 mins and the pork was perfect, they were lovely and much cheaper than a takeaway!:j
